Overlooking a deserted 14 kilometre beach on the southwestern tip of Lamu Island, Kipungani Explorer is a dream destination for those seeking true desert island holiday. After a 90-minute flight from Nairobi, you will be transferred from Manda Island by boat to the lodge.

Accommodation is in 14 spacious secluded chalets, sitting above the soft white sands of Kipungani Bay. The chalets are constructed from local materials, with mkeka grass floors and makuti thatch roofs woven by the residents of neighbouring Kipungani Village.

Each chalet has freshwater showers, flush toilets, and separate dressing areas with wash basins. Other facilities include a swimming pool, lounge, bar, dining room, guest library and a gift shop.
